Catheter Ablation for Atrial Fibrillation in Heart Failure: Updated Meta-Analysis
Project Host: Dr Sophie Thompson
Project Type: Literature review
Project Summary: We are conducting an updated meta-analysis of catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation in patients with heart failure as there have been new trials in this area since the last published meta-analysis.
The project will run over the next 6-8 months. We are currently at the data collection phase, which hopefully will take no more than 1-2 months. This will be followed by analysis of results and write up of the paper (2-3 months), followed by submission to a journal and responding to feedback from reviewers (3 months).
The aim is for publication in a good quality cardiology journal - you will be a named co-author on the paper. Minimum time commitment is approximately 10 hours of work. However, if you are keen to learn the skills of conducting meta-analyses and writing academic papers, you are welcome to contribute further and guidance will be provided throughout. Don't worry if you have no prior research experience - all we ask is that you are reliable and keen to learn.
Specialty : Cardiology
I am looking for...: Data collection
Additional Information: All welcome
